Thank You for Being Part of Our Community!

Thanks to all who came out for our Community BBQ on Sat 19th Nov, 2026. 

It was great to see so many neighbours meeting other neighbours, reconnecting with familiar faces, sharing ideas, enjoying the food and spending some time together. Thank you for helping to make the day a big success!  Events like these are a great reminder of what a Community League is all about.

A Community League is neighbours working together to make their community a great place to live. It’s about creating connections, building a sense of belonging, caring for the places we share, and giving people opportunities to turn good ideas into action.  And there’s many ways to be a part of it. You can come to an event. Help out for an hour. Share a skill. Join a project. Bring forward an idea. Help organise an activity. Volunteer regularly, or simply get to know another neighbour.

You don’t have to be on the board or make a big commitment to community life. Sometimes it starts with a conversation and someone saying “I have an idea…”. We really appreciated hearing your thoughts about our neighbourhood at the BBQ. We want to keep these conversations going.

What would you like to see happen in our community?  

Is there an activity you would like to participate in? Something that could make our neighbourhood better? A project you would like to help with? A way for neighbours to connect we haven’t tried yet?  We would love to hear from you!

Most importantly, thanks for coming out and joining in. A strong community isn’t something a Community League board creates on its own – it is something neighbours build together.
