Green Spaces Weekend Recap

Thank you to everyone who joined us on September 6–7 for our Green Spaces Weekend!

On Saturday, participants explored the North Park. They learned about its mid-century landscape design and its trees. They also worked with Partners in Parks gardeners. The day ended with a picnic in the sunken garden.

On Sunday, workshops focused on sustainable practices for yards, gardens, balconies, and windowsills. Topics included composting, pesticide-free gardening, wildlife-friendly habitats, and growing native plants.

Attendance was modest, likely due to smoky skies. Still, it was a warm and engaging weekend that sparked new ideas for caring for our green spaces.

We look forward to building on this momentum with more events that celebrate Windsor Park’s natural beauty.
